COVID-19: A Guide to Payment Safety [Infographic]

Researchers continue to be hard at work, discovering more information on the virus, causing the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Recent studies have compared a variety of Coronaviruses to determine the life expectancy of the diseases on an array of surfaces – including metals, plastics, cloth, and paper.


Prior research indicates worrisome longevity across the board. Viruses of the past could live as long as nine days on hard surfaces and four on paper and cloth.

But a recently released study focused on HCoV-19 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus responsible for COVID-19, has provided greater insight into surface viability – and consumer payment choice.
